Community Development District Elections
Candidates for Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors is a group of 5 Landowners who are elected or appointed to staggered 2 and 4 year terms. The Board is responsible for actions to manage the Community Development District (CDD) it represents. The Supervisors are elected by the landowners of the district with a 1 acre= 1 vote rubric.

Required To Become a Board Member:
- You must be a landowner of the district.
- CDD Board members, whether elected or appointed, are public officers, and the State of Florida requires them to take Oaths of Office, to file annual Form 1: Statement of Financial Interests, and Form 1F when leaving office. They will also need to attend 4 hours of annual ethics training.
Desirable in a Board member:
- Previous experience with contracts, contractor management, government, construction, landscaping, or lakes maintenance is highly pertinent.
